History
1828

Zoeppritz AG was established in Mergelstetten/Germany. Production of woven textiles made from natural fibres (mostly wool) for applications such as blankets.


Since 1905

Production of textile materials for shoes (mostly slippers) in an additional production facility in Bolheim/Germany, which was set up at the end of the 19th century.


1976

Dr. Ulrich Zwissler acquired the shoe textile department of Zoeppritz AG and set up Zoeppritex Schuhstoff GmbH & Co. KG.


1978

Zoeppritex Schuhstoff GmbH & Co. KG relocated to Mergelstetten.


This marked the beginning of flame lamination, a process that is well established today, particularly in the automotive industry, but also in the production of other applications such as sports apparel and noise insulation. Flame lamination was used for all production processes that involve bonding flexible PU foam and other materials.


1990

Relocation to the current production site at Heldenfingen/Germany.


Zoeppritex Schuhstoff GmbH & Co. KG introduced other lamination techniques in addition to classic flame and liquid lamination, among them bonding methods involving thermoplastic adhesives and the use of curing systems.


1998

The shoe textiles department was sold to Zoeppritex Italiana (today: Time Zoeppritex S.R.L.).


Zoeppritex Verbundstoffe GmbH & Co. KG was set up. From then on, the company focused on producing all kinds of special technical compounds in large volumes as well as in customized lots.


2002

Installation of a slot-die system for laminating processes involving reactive adhesives. In the wake of increasingly exacting requirements and specifications of the automotive industry, Zoeppritex Verbundstoffe GmbH & Co. KG enhanced its service and product portfolio.


2006

Conversion of the dispatch and cloth inspection facility


A state-of-the-art packaging machine with ultrasound closing system facilitated recycling of the packaging film for customers.


2008

Relocation to the new production hall. Zoeppritex Verbundstoffe GmbH & Co. KG increased its storage capacity and improved its freight management facilities.


2009

Relocation of the quality and development lab to a new facility. Zoeppritex Verbundstoffe GmbH & Co. KG now also offers hot light ageing tests.


Optimization of incoming goods testing by means of a calibrated cloth inspection system made the production process more efficient.


A new flatbed laminating machine with optimized energy consumption and accelerated laminating speed increased the company’s production output rates. The modular system could be extended to allow and implement new solutions.


2011
